About

“Start writing, no matter what. The water does not flow until the faucet is turned on.”
~ Louis L’Amour

All works published on this website were created by students enrolled in Mr. Boruff’s class at Munster High School. This website exists to preserve and promote these works.

Author Neil Gaiman once described the parameters of creative writing: “The joy of being an author is the joy of feeling I can do anything. There are no rules. Only: can you do this with confidence? Can you do it with aplomb? Can you do it with style? Can you do it with joy?”

This class strives to nurture confidence, develop style, and spark joy.

No work should be reprinted, republished, or reworked without the permission of Mr. Boruff and the work’s author.

“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”
~ Sylvia Plath
